I still can’t get over how amazing the weather was this weekend. It had me ready to skip over spring and get right to summer. As I mentioned in Sunday’s post, I had an unexpected blogging break so thank you for still following along even if the posts aren’t as consistent as I would hope.
Last week, Bill and I spent time in Georgia visiting family and going to two practice rounds at the Masters. Besides some crazy weather at the end of the trip and a few canceled and delayed flights, we had an amazing time. We enjoyed some incredible food, caught up with friends and family we hadn’t seen in awhile and enjoyed a few summer-like days.
This was one of the outfits I packed for our trip, but never had a chance to wear since we were on the move most of the time. We drove a lot and made quite a few more spur of the moment decisions than usual. I would’ve worn this look out to dinner since it cools down at night. I had been on the hunt for a pair of white jeans for quite some time. I bought a nicer, designer pair on sale in college, but I bought the wrong size, and every time I put them on, I hated the fit. Now that I’m older (and much wiser), I had been searching for a pair that wouldn’t break the bank because (1) I wanted to make sure I would actually wear them and (2) when I wear them, I will very likely spill on them.
I stopped in LOFT before the trip, and I pretty much bought anything that was white or blue. Not only are their current pieces super cute, but they’re also reasonably priced. Plus, they have a much larger in-store petite section, which I greatly appreciate. I ended up finding a regular pair of denim, and because they were cropped, they hit me at the right spot. In the photos, you’ll notice that they’re not a true skinny jean, but that is what I liked about them. I wanted a little more breathing space for my calves. That sounds super weird, but I don’t typically like my Irish-dancer legs in skin-tight white pants.
I added some pops of color to the otherwise all white outfit with one of my favorite bags and these fun earrings that come in a few colors. I also picked up these heeled sandals before our trip for under $65.
I’m already itching to get back to Georgia and visit Savannah. Have you ever been? Hopefully we can plan another trip soon.
