Celebrating Mother’s Day

While Mother’s Day will always be a bittersweet holiday because I would give anything to have my mom here to celebrate with, this year feels pretty special because it’s my first with Ainsley. Last year at this time, we still didn’t know if we were having a boy or girl, but I was convinced it was a boy. So much for a mother’s intuition 😉

To celebrate, I’m so excited to share how I’m prepping for Mother’s Day brunch and some gift ideas whether you’re shopping for your mom, friend, sister, grandma or maybe even yourself.

Living Room Progress with Celeste & Pearl

This post has been a long time coming! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have already seen some home progress (and I shared a few updates in this post awhile back). I couldn’t be more excited to work with the ladies of Celeste & Pearl on our living room. It’s come a long way over the last few months, and while I thought this would be more of a secondary family/living room for us as we love our other family room with the cozy fireplace, we continue to find ourselves in this room every night.

Five Minute Makeup Routine

I shared my everyday makeup routine on IGTV this morning (you can follow me here @carlyritt_) and thought I’d put together a quick post on the blog to link to the products. I also realize it was six minutes on the video, but I can crank this out in five minutes before work so I’m rolling with it officially taking five minutes.

Ainsley’s Nursery

A belated happy 2019! We have been navigating life as a family of three and getting into our daycare and back-to-work routines. It took Ainsley eight whole days to get her first cold which turned into an ear infection after a week. It was a long few nights of rocking her to sleep, and Bill and I took turns sleeping on her floor (cross that one off our list of firsts as parents). But I guess if I had to spend a lot of time in one room of our house, this is the room I’d want to be in. Plus, I will take all of the snuggles from Ainsley any day. “Ainsley’s Nursery”
