Hi there! I’m Carly. I grew up outside of Milwaukee, WI and attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison (#OnWisconsin). My husband and I re-connected in college only to realize our parents lived less than five minutes away from each other back in our hometown. After getting married, we moved back to that same town where we welcomed our daughter Ainsley (now 3) and our son Liam (21 months).
After losing my younger brother and mom prior to having our kids, I self-published a children’s book in May 2021 that invites young readers to honor the memories of the lives of those no longer with us. You can purchase Angels in the Sky here.
In October 2021, we took a leap of faith and relocated our family to Connecticut for my new role in digital marketing at The LEGO Group. My posts may be sporadic, but I love this corner of the internet and chatting with so many of you.
When I’m not occasionally writing, working or chasing after the kids, you’ll find me enjoying a warm cup of chai, having family dance parties in the kitchen, and getting outside to explore our new hometown.
Why Fifth & Rose?
My family is extremely important to me, and I wanted to find a way to make the site extra personal. The Fifth is for our wedding day (September 5) and the Rose is for my mom, Rosie.
